LI'S BIGGEST CAR SALE KICKS OFF - CU MEMBERS AND PUBLIC TARGETED

HAUPPAUGE, NY, June 9 – GrooveCar, Inc., Metro New York’s largest credit union auto buying program, today invited the region’s credit union members and the general public to take full advantage of the region’s biggest auto sale of the year, which officially kicks off July 10. GrooveCar’s has been hosting this event for 10 years.

During this event, nearly 200 auto dealers throughout the metro region will offer steep discounts, deferred payments for three months, factory rebates and up to a .50% rate discount at some participating credit unions. In addition, credit union financing will be available at the dealerships. Twelve leading LI credit unions, including Bethpage, Nassau Educators and Teachers are helping to spearhead the event.

“The timing for our annual July sales event could not have come at a better time this year,” said Frank Rinaudo, GrooveCar executive vice president. “The dealers need help driving showroom traffic and the credit unions have the money to lend. Factory rebates are at an all-time high and dealers are offering the largest discounts we’ve ever seen.”

Targeting credit union members and Long Islanders from July 10-19, over 700,000 invitations will be mailed, inviting the recipient to check out, test drive and buy a new or pre-owned vehicle at considerable savings. Besides the direct mail blast, large posters are already up at the participating dealers and at all credit union locations promoting the event.

To help fuel interest, GrooveCar is giving away a 50” Plasma flat screen television to credit union members who visit a dealership and complete an entry form, also available online at www.groovecar.com/homepage_display.asp.
