LI'S BIGGEST CAR SALE KICKS OFF-TARGETS CREDIT UNION MEMBERS
HAUPPAUGE, NY, July 12 - Bastille Day (July 14) is celebrated largely in French-speaking lands this Friday, however, GrooveCar, Inc., the indirect lender of auto loans based here, today invited the legion of Long Island credit union members to take full advantage of the region's biggest auto sale, which officially kicks off the same day.
You could easily argue it's a "beheading" of price, especially since more than 200 LI-based auto dealers participating in the sale, promise their best (selling) prices ever, deferred payments until 2007 and up to a ½% rate discount at some participating credit unions.
Restricted to credit union members from July 14-23, over 800,000 invitations were mailed last week, inviting the recipient to check out, test drive and buy a new or pre-owned vehicle at considerable savings. Besides the direct mail blast, large posters are already up at the participating dealers and at all credit union locations promoting the event.
To help fuel interest, GrooveCar is giving away a 42" Plasma television to credit union members who visit a dealership and complete an entry form, also available online at www.groovecar.com/homepage_display.asp.
GrooveCar initiated this sales event in 2002. "Members really look forward to it," explained David Jacobson, GrooveCar president. "We have virtually every new and used make and model available during the sale, which is a 'win-win' for everyone - the dealer sells more cars, the credit union writes more loans and members save money."
