After introducing the all-new fourth-generation RX 350 luxury utility vehicle for 2016, Lexus opens the RX model's second season with a slew of notable advancements, chief among those making the Lexus Safety System+ standard equipment.
Introduced as an option for 2016, Lexus Safety System+ includes Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Intelligent High Beam and High-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.
Continuing to expand its F SPORT performance line for those wanting a dynamic experience, Lexus introduces the RX 350 FWD model for 2017, joining the AWD model.
While the Lexus RX has always offered an ideal combination of SUV versatility and luxury sedan-like comfort, the fourth generation stand out with a dramatic mix of sharp creases and curves. The focal point of the front is the Lexus signature spindle grille, set off by an elegant chrome-plated border and standard Bi-LED headlights.
The Lexus RX won a place on the 2016 "Ward's 10 Best Interiors" list. The respected automotive industry journal praised the cabin's impeccable fit-and-finish, and was particularly impressed by the satin brushed-aluminum trim, form-fitting seats, and the richly finished wood trim that curves gently up from the center console toward the glove box.
There's ample room for five in the RX models, with a lowered rear floor providing a seating position comparable to that in the Lexus LS flagship luxury sedan. Behind the rear seats, there's enough space to carry up to four large suitcases or multiple golf bags.
The Lexus RX 350 features its most powerful V6 engine ever with 295 hp and 268 lb.-ft. of torque. In both FWD and AWD versions, the engine is teamed to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
