As Mitsubishi's top-selling model, the Outlander Sport offers the reliability and affordability consumers look for in the competitive crossover utility vehicle segment. With new exterior and interior enhancements the 2018 model-year is sure to carryover the momentum built by its predecessor.
The 2018 Outlander Sport has a new exterior look with an innovative front and rear bumper design and LED running lights. The interior receives a 7-inch Smartphone Link display audio system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a newly designed floor console and a new shift lever. The 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is available in a new exterior color, Alloy Silver.
The optional Touring Package -- new to the 2018 model-year -- offers a panoramic roof and advanced safety and technology features including Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM), Lane Departure Warning, Automatic High Beam (AHB), a rear camera and noise vibration harshness (NVH) improvements to make for a quieter ride.
A poised, comfortable ride and excellent maneuverability are always assured, thanks to the Outlander Sport's well-engineered suspension system that consists of MacPherson struts with stabilizer bar up front and a multi-link set-up with stabilizer bar at the rear of the vehicle.
The very capable MIVEC variable valve-timing-equipped 148 horsepower 2.0-liter-based drivetrain features a continuously-variable transmission that now mimics a 7-speed automatic transmission. It provides better response, performance from a standing start, and a more unified feeling of acceleration.
Other design elements for the Outlander Sport include thick front door glass and sound insulation for the rear quarter panel section of the vehicle, leading to a reduction in the level of noise, vibration and/or harshness (NVH) experienced by the vehicle's occupants.
